Sat, Apr. 3 the afternoon - & lost badly. At 6.30 went along to Evensang ???. We had a very good meeting??? and preparation service for Easter Communion followed at 7.0 Mail came in tonight as we sat listening to the band in the mess. Result an instand scramble. Sun, Apr 4. Easter Day. Church parade at 6.45. We held out C.E.M.S. Corporate Communion at the celebration which followed the Parade Service. I don't know exactly how many C.E.M.S. Communicants there were. The totals were 74 at this service and 27 at the 6.0. The Padre was very pleased with the numbers. Wrote a bit in the morning and slacked till 5.0 when I played Vesian 3 sets lost 15-12 (all the sets were (6.3).) Church at 6.10 tonight as we had a C.E.M.S. meeting in the Vestry at 6.15, to change the name to Dinapore Garrison Bch. at the request of HQ. After Evensang ??? (6.30) we had our first C.E.M.S. admission service. Admitted 30 members and 3 associates. Mon, Apr. 5 Being Easter Monday today there were no parades except the early morning one, so naturally I get the job of O.O. today. Played Tennis with Lionel and Mrs Hewlett and had 3 jolly good sets. Lamont ??? was the 4th. Started Punkahs today. It is quire warm - 98 degree on the verandahs. Very nearly annihilated a cute ??? cat on my way back from lights out. It ran in front my wheel, then doubled back.
