Verney Junc. There I met the Worcester - Aylesbury fellow with whom I travelled on to Oxford leaving him at the Station where I met Colton. Left him at St John Street. Got in to Coll about 8.30. Found trunk & books had arrived. Perce had unpacked the latter. Finished unpacking & got fairly straight by 10.30. By 12.0 Dixon had not arrived so I went to bed.

Asked Brooks this morning if he had heard from Dicky. He read me a telegram from him. "In bed with chill may I return Sat. or Sun." "Certainly sir!" says Brooks,- and that of course is about all the authority necessary!
Saw Pullan in a.m. & arranged lekkers. Not one in Johns!! (except of course an hr. with him)
Went to Robinson's to tea. MTs wandered in in eve.

Saw Burney in a.m arranged as much work as he would let me with him. Went for a ride with "'Erb" in aft. Went to Bickley. An awfully pretty ride.
