Beach comes back to us at the beginning of next month.
I have just broken off to look at my two new mules which have just arrived. They are two remounts which have been sent to replace the two that died. They look a very good pair. One of them is a little "barberry"?? and has nearly laid out two of the men on the way up! Still I expect we shall soon get them into shape though apparently they have never had a saddle on yet.
I am now back in my own job & just at present as you will see from the diary I am a sort of maid of all work!
I am feeling quite pleased with life because I tackled a sick pony last night. I had to! There was no one else here who knew anything at all about horses! As a result the animal seems alright again this morning. I shall get a reputation in time.
I am not sorry to get back to my guns! There are few more interesting jobs about & I think that M.G.O. ?? wants a lot of beating. I am making one or two changes in my personnel and I think that in a week or so when the changes have taken effect I shall have as good a section as one could wish for!
