My dear Mother & Father.
Thank you very much for your kind letter which arrived last Sunday Mother.
I have one thing to tell you before I forget it and that is about our address. The Husain Abdul scheme is all "in the air" again and we may or may not go there. So I am writing this week end to say continue address Rawal Pindi. That will always find us. The latest idea is that we are going to be split up on detachment work again! I hope not as I should prefer the Husain Abdul scheme to stand rather than that. Incidentally if you ever want to cable anything not too urgent send it over the week end, as it goes then for sixpence a word.
Thank you very much for the two Whiteley cakes which arrived today Mother - beautifully soldered up in a 7 lb biscuit tin. They are both very good indeed. Thank you so much for them.
You will have heard by now that ??? is getting the 2nd M.G.O's job. He is the next junior to me & a very decent fellow - about 35! - Still we shall get on very well together.
