I did not mean that my interest in the cake will fade mother. It is the cake that will do the fading. Thank you very much for your kind thought in sending it to my mother and for the good wishes that I know accompany it.
The parcel you sent containing the football Boots and things moved “damaged.” Mother & I had to take delivery of it personally in consequence. It was “damaged” without any mistake about it, but the contents were alright & all there.
The parcel of travels and things moved quite safely. Thank your very much indeed for them. One of the cakes tasted very of the cardboard box it was in, but we did not waste it and it does not seem to have affected the Pony.
I am glad to know Ted is still alright. Talking of the Pony. ---- went out on it yesterday on a field day we had. At best it would be more correct to say he wanted to go out on it. Almost as soon as he got on the Pony had him off with a nasty bump. However he got on again only to be taken down the “Khud” and come off again. He was rather dazed and did not come out on the show, but beyond bring rather stiff he seems to be feeling no ills effects. The Pony was scratched in one or two places that was all.
