He has had several bits of clothing chipped away aw??? on one occasion a bullet singed his hair, but otherwise he got through without a scratch.

The C.O. was back to-day with much interesting news. We are going to Husain-Abdul straight from here and are staying there (under canvas again) throughout next cold weather. The West Kents are going to Pindi and the Surreys go to Sialkot. The Srafts and Yorks remain at Pindi.
We are to leave here about October 18th
