carts and no pack. I think are of the best things of the trek is to watch the camels carrying into camp at dawn. The men are getting quite good at making them get up and down. There will be some fun at the Zoo if any of them lola??? go there when they get home.

We left our camp at 7.0 this morning + had dare oes??? march and got the new camp standing by half past eleven so it has been a easy day.

Sunday march 12th

Another 8 miles only to day. It has been the most interesting days trek that we have had. We have crossed the Indus + are now in the North West Fraitie??? Province. Altock??? is mostly in ruins now and there is only are Company of B.1. here in the Fort. The Fort is a very big spot on the top of a hill we wound up past it and then down a bit and along the bank of the Indus for about a couple of miles. It was like going alona a clik??? road. The river here is joined by the Catul River + of lus??? through a deepest gorge. It is law now, but the gorge is the best part of a mile across. There is guite a lot of water in it all the same. We crossed the river by the railway bridge. This is a big girder bridge with the railway on the op girders + the road underneath. All the pier??? have got
