to give us a chance of getting across. It was a weary wait. It was nearly 2.0 o/c when we did eventually get into camp and it was rather more than an hour before we were settled. I was Orderly Dog to day, so I had to go round Duines at som as Camp was up + settled. Then after my mm??? lunch, at 3.30 I had to go along to Raliaes. That over I had to watch Rifles piled Then I did get a little time off until 6/30 when I had to nionut??? the guard and the picquets. Each Company has a picquet turth??? the Quarth??? Guard this or 96 men on duty, which is a pretty ange??? proposition.

After Mounting the Guard there was just time for a scuib??? before iless??? at 7.0. Then after iless Tattoo and lights out. I found me cherry sergent with his rifles pited outside the Perimeter!

Saturday march 11th 1916

A short march to day. Only 10 miles one furling??? so that we have now got to M.P. 222. G??? i.e. 51 miles from Pindi. We are nord??? just 3 or 4 miles short of Actocr. As soon as we cross the Indus we get into the 1st Dursimrustead??? of the 2nd so we change all our transport here. We are getting 90 camels again, but 30 mule
