We were all surprised at Tominen??? coming in 3rd. Two officers in the first six is not bad. 17 started and 12 finished. It was a good 3 1/2 - 4 miles.
Monday Dec. 27.
The families moved to-day. The Co. must miss C.O. Frankan and Mrs. Frankan to be rolled in at 6.30 am. The Major and Stratton are staying with their wives in Calcutta for a bit.
Did some M.G. with Jack and Mieville this morning then S.S.O. for Frankan and lastly some MG work of my own.
We have got orders now to take out guns and mules with us! Which is unusual. Presumably it is because there are to be 3 extra battalions in the Pindi Division.
Sports in aft. Much the usual kind of thing. I was official starter and so wandered about waving a Revolver dangerously. Everything went off very well and we kept time which is rather wonderful for sports.
Gut lugged along to the C.Os for Tea. There were Hewlett and Tommie??? there as well besides (Frankan and Mrs. to be of course)
Tuesday Dec. 28.
Spent the morning packing M. G. stuff. Tennis in aft. A four with Tommie???, Little and Colonel Prentis.
