Wednesday December 2oth

Got in a little work today. As I was Orderly Dog? & Pull? was on guard it was a little difficult.

We had a tea party this afternoon. I don't know who originated the idea but at any rate the 5 of us in the bungalow invited 6 ladies & 2 gentlemen to tea & had a party.

We spent the first part of the afternoon getting the room ready. Starting with bare walls, a bare floor & one chair, we despoiled over our rooms until we had finally matting & durries on the floor, curtains over the doors - there are no windows - pictures up, palms in 3 places, 14 chairs in position & several small tables each with flowers on dotted over the room. We then furnished the "Hall" with more curtains & durries & things & behold rooms fit for a mensabig. Mrs. Prentis said it was the most comfortable bachelor's room she had seen!

About 4/30 our guests arrived. the CO Mrs & Miss CO Mrs. Vickers, Mrs. Prentis & later Frankan & his fiancee. We had plenty to eat - in fact we shall live on cakes for a week or two yet- & we kept the party going till Mrs. B made a move at 6.30. Quite a success I think.

By 7 the room was bare again! It is surprising what durries & a few curtains can do!
