Went to "Watersmeet" after Lunch. We had to ride about 3 miles then we could take our bikes no further some had to walk. It was about another mile and a half right down into the gorge, through woods the whole way, up & down winding in & out. On the way we passed 3 awfully pretty little falls. Finally when we got there we found ourself in a gorge about 20-30 yds wide with cliffs rising to about 1000 ft each side.
2 Streams meet at the bottom & about 10 yds away a third comes in. Its extraordinarily pretty.

It took us about 1/2 hr to go down & 40 minutes to come up. We spent about an hour there scrambling about.

Did some very interesting Fire Direction Practices on the Classification Range this morning.
Otherwise work as usual more or less plus an exam from 1.0 to 3.0. 4 questions. I think I "strafed" them fairly well.
Slept in aft. First sleep for a week! (i.e. in aft.) Wrote notes in eve.
