Friday October 8th. 1915.

Had a few officers on the 30 yds. Range with the Machine Gun today. (that was at 6.0)

Did quite a good piece of work this morning. There was the usual quarterly A.I.F. took round at 9.0. I fortunately forgot it and so escaped the boring process. The Major luckily saw the humor of the situations as I, as Sec., had carefully sent round "chits" reminding the rest of the Committee and then forgot it myself! so all ended without any tragic denoument.

Touch of Punk at Chill to-day so slacked and wrote Mail in aft.

Saturday Oct. 9. 1915.

Usual C.O.'s weekly inspection this morning. He had no fault to find with the Specialists though I had a spirited passage with Somervell over Corhause indents. As 'wow' quite enjoyed it.

Tennis in eve ("Puntah" better toda".

I discover taht the rain on Thursday amounted to5.89". Practically all in two hours. Not bad work!

Sunday. Oct. 10th 1915.

Was O.C. Church Parade today. Quite a large battalion paraded - about 69 men!

Almost Kocch may in S.S. office this morning.

Short game of Tennis in eve.
