The C.O. Savevell??? & Cotton call came back in as a body last night. Handed over to Savevell??? this morning. not reluctantly!
Tennis in Eve. C Chapman v. Williamson T. Camart??? Not bad games. Managed coped???? a service in occasionally.

A muddy morning. Went round the M.G. lines first that??? at 9.30 had to shift to “A” Cay??? Orderly Room for a beastly inquiry??? 68 Rupies?? had mysterously??? disappeared something in this way. Boyse yesterday afternoon was going over to Bula???? [note – the word is crossed out in diary page] the Orderly Room & on his way spotted Bulner??? as he has topay him 7as???? “of Company Money he yelled out. “If you come over now Bulner??? I’ll pay you your seven arinas.???? Bulner??? came. They went in through the Side door leaving all the others locked, via this dotted line. Boyse went to the Cash Box * a wooden affair & took out a canvas bankbag with RS68 in it as he was going to check it (the balance of the morning’s pay to the men) with the Pay & Mess Box???, when he had finished with Bulner.???? He also took out a small tin from which to pay Bulner – who was in theroom??? with him
