Beachand I spent the morning 9-11 -too short- entering and balancing the accounts of ''A'' Compnay for June.Jackson looked on in a bored and un-understanding way. However they came right to the anna. As I was wholly responsible for June I was jolly glad.
Played Tennis with de Vernon in the eve and strange to say actually won some sets.

I was talking to him today about the mens opinion of the options and was surprised- through pleasure, that he said 'If you'd been going to the Gulf with the main draft I should have let the commission go and have ///..... we have had several intersting conversations on the men and the officers and kindred subjects and I have picked up a lot of interesting information of various sorts.

Played No. 8 tonight in a League Match on the Club Ground. Mount played up to his form. Most people looked as if they hadn't seen a Hockey Ball before and had no interest in one aat all. Result we lost 4.0.
