So he has for his commission. I saw him in Urss??? & congratulated him.Naturally he is pleased. He is apparently the $th K.O Liverpool Regt. The cable arrived nearly a week ago. The?? has been in the Yaso?? ever since.

The mail came in about 10'o this morning. I got letters from home, one Mater, one Pater, also a P.c from Mellie.
Rather a curious thing has happened to Johnson. The cable said his commission was in the liverpools. The 'Jemies'??? extract from the Gazette puts him in the 8th Mdx??? I should think that most probably the latter is correct. But it's curious all the same.
