Morning parades as usual. Spent the afternoon writing hours.
Turned out for Hockey at 5/30. It was a practice match against no 3. We were booked for the club ground but the game on the Hospital ground got scratched so we took the chance & played there. It was quite a game though we lost 2:1
Sat. July 31
Spent quite a time getting me?? quite tidy for the C.O. we have dazzles the world with uniform name plates over the coats. They look jolly well. Unfortunately the C.O missed??? them. Still they add to the general appearance for the timeout???

Have collected a striking cold from somewhere which seems first at its worst today.
However i took 'A" cry?? in church Parade and then slacked for the rest of the day.
The rains are an absolute treat. They consist??? so far of about 1/4 every other day & between the showers the stickeners is absolutely wet! They can't be normal this year because a month ago we had 17" more than normal. Now it has droped to 4"
The delightfully cool weather we were promised in the rains seems a long time coming.
