Sat. 24 Jul. Had a ride this morning. Got back about 12.15. Read till Lunch. Went out to Tea in eve. ??? Mrs Home??? who husband (an old Mellhillian???) Lamont met at Bankipers??? ??? yesterday & have us the ??? for to.day.
Sun. 25. Jul. Went to the 8/30 at Christ Church. The Padre - Canon??? Oldham - is rather like Mr Joyce. He was alone. Quite a good number of communi??? courts. Walked to Municipal Gates in a.m. & lazed there. Lunch at 2/0. Slacked till 3/30 when we started on our downward road. Walked to Siffles??? where we had Tea. Then we [Sun. 20 Jul. "Dandied" all the way down - this last mile in pouring rain. We reached Chaperand??? at 6/30. It was cloudy all the way down so that the view was out???. Left Chaperand??? after Dinner at 7/45 & reached Station an hour later. Found they had booked Upper ??? for us - which was a nuisance but couldn't be helped. It was awfully hot.
