Could not go into the Riding School tonight as the ground was far too muddy. So we went along the highways. We made quite a goodly cavalcade.
Night operations at 7/30. More trench digging. The C.O. was keen on all lamps being put out of the way. I saw a lamp lying derelict about 20 yds away from me and went and nearly extinguished it only to disover from the C.O. that it was his. He didn't seem to appreciate having his own lamp extinguished!
We messed in khaki.
