Went to church in eve.
Padre gave us a very good sermon this morning in the merit of being contentious with our lot in coming out here. AS he is the next on the list for the ??? - itching to go. It made me smile a bit I'm afraid.

I am gradually getting the Company Quarter Master Sergeant's Office into some sort of order. Both of the Color Sergeant's g??? the old Companies seem to have had a mania for loose papers, and never to have heard of books or files. However it will all come straight in line, though it means a jolly lot of work first now.
Riding??? School in Eve, then club.

Started on a monumental work this morning v.2:- a MS book containing a record of the kit every man in the double Company has in his possession. (not including private kit of course). It will take some time.

Night ops. tonight. We paraded by Companies marched up to the trenches when I for ???. I found flicking had moved them off, less rifles. Well, as it was only night trench digging I didn't think it worth while going back for them. So we went gaily on our way - singing.
When I got about 100 yds from the site I saw a four very lite ??? COs. So we marched at attention - and a jolly good fit I did too or there would have been the blood to pay.
