156 Mon Mar 29 Had some elementary Cricket Practice under Lamont's eye from 10.30 to 12.0.

Put in a strenuous 1 1/2 hrs Bayonet Fighting tonight.
Auction at the Club. Bought next 3 issues of Blackwoods for Rx 2. Tues. Mar 30 Orderly ???? today. Williamsn came round with me to see what happened. Rations are 6.0 nowadays which is a bore.
Parades as usual.
Went round the Institutes which the 9.0 - 10.0 parade was in. Saw Soda water being made at the reg? factory. It is all very simple but makes rather a mess. Poor Hennington??? got half drownded.
Bayonet Fighting 4.30 to 6.0 then Club. Wed. Mar. 31 Hickling took early parade.
It was sweaty doing platoon drill to-day. Did a little instructing n Bayonet Fighting today.
In the eve went up & watched our Left Half locking "C" at Cricket. Won by one wicket.
Knocked about a bit with some of the R.H. who were practicing. Then did a little Bayonet work.
Went to the Holmes at ???? to dinner tonight with Marwood ????? & Hickling. Had quite a jolly time. Got back after 11.30. Thur Apr 1 At the Gym from 8.30 to 10.30. Wrote till lunch time. Slacked till tea then wrote a bit more till 5.0 when I went to the Gym again.
