As you enter the courtyard place you see the place where they sacrifice a goat to the goddess Derga???. There was the blood on the ground where we went through you could hardly see it for flies. Curiously the vegetarian Hindus eat the body of the sacrificed goat! There is a large bell there which every worshipper rings as he enters -- if he can reach the clapper. Result a continuous Ding Dong. The reason for the monkeys is obscure. They apparently look up their abode there at some time??? & being sacred animals were of course alloed to remain unmolested & as they get??? fed to bursting point they show no inclination to leave.

Quite close to this monkey Temple is a magnificent marble shrine in which is buried a certain holy man. The cost was I think 2 1/2 lakhs. but it is a fine building. Both the design & the execution are perfect, & I think that it is without a doubt the gem of the whole place

We drove back again & reached the hotel about 6.30. We could not change for Dinner??? but as there were so few visitors it did not matter a bit. PPP The gharri bore us reluctantly away at 9.15 and at 9.56 along came the train.

We had to wait??? out at Moghal??? Serai??? so we took posession of the waiting room & slept till 2.0 getting rather bitter??? in the process.

By 2.30 we were on the move again and I didn't wake up until we reached Aral??? at 5.30.

At 6.20 we reached Dunapore??? &
