106 Fri Fe b 12 men on each search. So we charged. They cut away via a m???soon dip & thence right across the Son?? Though I had expected they would do so I advanced rather cautiously towards the ford and eventually sent a few men to hold them from C while we crossed at D. When we were just about ready to turn there out of their position on the other side "Cease Fire" was sounded and we had to paddle across again. We didn't go in above our knees. The men seemed to enjoy it.

Tried the First Day of my Revolve Course this afternoon. Did moderately well on all except the Right Hand Continuous. I only got one shot on for that. All the rest were low which was putrid.

Saw the tail end of Company Pay after that & then played Lamont a set at the club. Won 6-2 in an unprecedented manner. Then Lamont & I played Beach & got licked. Sat Feb 13 The Brigadier turned up to-day from Calcutta. He did not worry us till 11.0.

Were in the Gymm this morning. Cut it a little short owing to Money being about & the need of getting kits straight.

Morning Parade 9.15. We defended the trenches against "B" Corp & then turned into a Rear Guard. I ran "A" Beach acted as Umpire. As we had to wait for the General we did not start work till 11.0. I had a reconnoitering patrol out & got absolutely record information from them.
