160. Thur Dec. 10. Then we went back to the Bungalow & made some tea for ourselves. Afterwards I finished my letter home & went down to the Bazaar with ??? -- escorted by Nawa Khan? -- to post it. Nawa Khan ?? is a gem. He really spoils me absolutely. What it will be like in England having to dress oneself & put your own boots on I don't know! I saw his pile of Testimonials today. They all seem jolly good. I think he is quite honest too. He is one of the crowd which Morrell engaged & took to Bombay with him for us. Some interlopers got in as well & I was afraid first that Nawa was one of them. They have naturally been sacked as unreliable. I should be fed?? if I had to lose Sunny Jim now. Fri. Dec. 11 We spent nearly 3/4 hr this morning getting kit arranged properly. I suppose the men will get into it in time! At 10.0 we paraded & were at the Hospital at 10.30 for Medical Inspection & Lekker. The Inspection was a Shirt Sleeve & bare chest affair like we had in Camp when Chs got chicken pox or something in 1912. The Lecture was really a gem. The doctor is a R.A.M.C. Major. He has a very jerky way of talking, & is really rather humorous. He was talking about the sun.
