Fri. Dec. 11.] you’re in the sun. There was a chap here once went to sleep like that - Some one found him later-in the sun - brought him to the hospital -He was taken out next day - & planted! Yes, you want to be careful of the sun!
He also said that since the introduction of innoculation they have only had 3 cases of enteric on the station. One of those was a man who had not been innoculated. He pegged out the other two recovered. Last year there were no cases!
After this delightful half hour we went to the O??? Urs??? Stores to be measured Every man is to get 3 drill uniforms & a new serge, 2 prs of B??? & some shirts!
Soon after 12.0 General Donald someone came along from Calcutta. He just shook hands with the officers who were at the Orderly Room to receive him & that was all. According to Beach he said that a programme of training is all mapped out for us which will culminate in Active Service! So cheer???
Aft parade was Company Drill & Piling Arms.
Made our own tea & then talked until time to change for mess.

Parade this morning was much as usual. N.C.Os taking sections: then Corp Drill then Extended Order Drill & Muscle Exercises.
