104 Sun. Nov 15. Port Said I went ashore with De Vesian & the Brecknock Doctor. We were rowed across by a couple of native youngsters who were not much more than 14. We were promptly attached by Picture Post Card ?Sellers when we stepped on shore 7 after getting rid of them, by a Duly Licensed Guide who exhibited a pretty looking license we tried to throw him off but he stuck. He took us first into the Native part. We saw the Greek Church, the English, the Assyrian and finally the Mohammedan Mosque which i snapped. The streets are fairly wide, the shops very very native looking & the whole place very smelly -- that is the native part. English, French, German, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, Portugese, Italian, Arabic, Greek & 2 others which I can't remember. They probably pick them up quite easily owing to the cosmopolitan nature of the place. We spent most of our time in the European quarter shopping & were back on the Quay again at 1.10 on our way back to our tub?? We were due in @ 1.30. I enjoyed my two hours in way though Port Said is not a place to rave over, yet it is a place have seen. When we got back we found coaling
