Mon. Oct 9. Supplement: On my way to ??? Rayner's in the ??? I slipped into the City Sale of Exchange place in Lime St. ??? hold of a very nice Watch Pocket combine with a Zeuss Tessa hens 6.3. It's price was ??? more than I wanted to pay viz 5” 17.6. I got 1.17.6 on my old Tudor which was not really bad. So it left me free to play. For a Kodak's Developing Tank – a doz. sports or Sunday developing providers co. as well. ??? the Camera. The rest is being sent on to ??? for me. By a weird stroke of luck the same man served me as had sold me the Tudor at Aldersgate St. a year ago.

Last day of leave. Spent most of the morning getting ??? went up to the Hill at 12.0 to say goodbye to the view. Saw Mrs. Joyce as well. Spent the afternoon packing. The cab came for me after tea about 6.15. ??? a very fond farewell. She took it very bravely. Pat came with me to Victoria. We had a taxi from Balar St. ??? travelled down with me on the 7.45. Left my luggage at the station when we go there.
