wondered who on earth I was! (when he saw "The Tunia???") He wrote to the C.O. (Lt. Col. Blumfield) who is with the Regt. at Settingbound, & advised me to do ditto, so now I am awaiting instns.
In the aft I went up to Samuels. Got a Sam Browne, a cap & my old O.T.C tunie??? (altered). I then tried at various places to get a sword but they are not obtainable for love or money! Cheery isn't it? The War office have apparently bagged factory & all, so I shall beord??? the War office me thinks.
Had some music in we & then Nellie, Mable & I had a short walk.

Went up to town again & had another shot at getting a sword no success so shall join without one.

Letter from Adjt.??? today.
"You should report yourself immediately at The Town Hall, Settingbourne???, Kent, for duty?.

Went up to town again to day. Fetched my gear from Samuel's. Fortunately opened it in the office. Discovered they had given me a cap miles too big. So changed it.
Left home about 4.0 en route for Setingbourne. As I left I got a wire from Adjt??? answering mine of yesterday. "Oftain??? warrant from deport
