Sat June 27

Laid a telephone wire in the morning along the main Frimley Road for about a mile. Our base was at the Officers Lines. I was no. 5 so had an interesting time. Brewin proved a most incompetent exchange operator! (We had two hand-reels out beside the cart which made the exch. possible.)

Afternoon was free. Band played from 5-7 & we duly listened what time we weren't having dinner.

Parade at 8.30 for Lamp Scheme. The venue of the show was much the same as Thursday. I was on a station with Hayes T P Norris Creese & Weame (transmitter) We got through a fair amount of work. One way (OA) was quite good but (OC) was pretty rotten. Got RD to our last ms. at 12.13 am.

Sun June 28

After last night Reveillé was not till 7.30. Brekker 8.0. We had a kit inspection at 10.0 which was rather a bore esp. as it turned out only to be Stenning after all.

Church Parade 11.0. (Rev Talbot, Balliol i/c). It was fairly short. Most of the aft. I slept as it was warmish.

There was a concert in eve
