what I heard of it was v.g. & made me wish I had heard more. It finished just after Last Post.

Mon. Jun 20

Earlier part of the morning was spent in getting ready for the scheme to-day. Our transport accompanies us.

At 12.30 we paraded. We cycled, while the infantry marched through Farnham to the Rendezvous a few hundred yds beyond Willey Mill in the grounds of Col Someone. There we waited for the Inf to arrive. When they did come (about 3/4 hr later) they looked rather weary. About 5.0 we moved on again. We had to march with the Infantry (at the head of the column with HQ + S) After about 5 miles we got tired of marching & pushing bikes so we rode instead. We went via the road that crosses the M of Willey Mill (ord. sur. 1" map) thence direct to Dippenhall on through Crondall to Crookham thence to Elvetham where we bivouaced. All this was done at an even 3 m.p.h. with 10 min halts each hour. Our exact bivouac was in the meadow opposite the W of Word Hill Farm.
