194 Wed Apr 8.

by trying to teach Rowdon to dismount from a bike by a backward jump.:- ???DIAMGRAM???

After two or three more-or-less-successful attempts, he hurled the bike forward so violently that he could not catch it. Result, it fell & bent a crank. 6.30-7.30 was therefore occupied in remedying this.

At 8.0. Rowdon went home and Pat & I went up to the Hill to hear Gounod's Redemption. The choir sang very well and the soloists were good. The "Celestial Choir" effect was very "juicy" as Brodie would say.

195 Thur Apr 9.

Bridge in the morning. Pat's fascination for trains is extraordinary. Pat left about 5. in the aft.

Went over to St Michaels Willesden in the evening as I have promised to play at a service to. morrow night. I finished practising at 8.15 when another service was timed to begin, but as no organist turned up for it I stopped & played for them. I went back with Uncle Wallace after it & got home about 10.30.

GOOD FRIDAY. Apr 10

Went to the Ante Communion & Litany on the Hill at 8.0 and again to the 3 hours at 12.0 .
