went to Margie's this morn. Like it better than Barnie's or Cowley I think. Singing excellent. Anglican. 11.30 is Low Mass. No sermon. Church lovely. Fine Chancel Screen & fine reredos. Very nice altogether.

Had two teas in aft. One @ Robinsons & one with Wright.

Had 2 1/2 hrs solid music after Hall 8-10.30. Capes assisted.

Wrote home at 7.30. Briefly as I have had no letter since Wed!

145 Mon Mar 2

I had rather a shock this morning. I had a letter from the Mater.

My Dear Len

Thank you for your two letters....

You will be grieved to hear dear Grannie passed away last night. I am going down this aft. The reports had not been so hopeful of her since the beginning of the week and we have been quite expecting to hear the end had come. Poor dear Gran.

May she lie at rest in the home beyond and sometimes remember those still struggling on in this life. I don't know what arrangements will be made about the funeral but I will write and let you know. Gran did not wish for a lot of flowers. She said she would like one cross of flowers so we shall all take part
