Mon. Jan 12

Caught the 1.23 at Kenton and went via car to Harlesden. Called at Mrs King's and had another look at the Piano. I like it rather better than I did on Sat. I hope Pater does get it.

Went on via tram & Wood La (C.L.R.) to Chancery Lane. Called at Pater's. Went on by bus to Bromley. Got there about 4.0. Had a go on Pat's bike around the garden. I think it is running rather better than it did before. Is _is_ a bargain at £13. In the eve. I went to the Duke of York's to Quality St with the Newtons. The three Frys (R. Nora and Muriel) were there as well. It is jolly good of the Newtons to do it. I enjoyed it very much. It is a comedy. The time is that of the Napoleonic Wars. Came home via Trafalgar Sq. B'loo to Baker St just caught the 0.25. there nicely.

Tue Jan 13.

Cleaned up the bike to-day. I wish I had weighed the mud I got from it. I had to mend a puncture in the front tyre. Left home about 3.0 en route for Sheen to say good-bye to them over there. Got as far as Gunnersbury La and as it was 4.0 then turned back. It would hardly have been worth while going on. I should only have had about 1/2 hr there.

Went to Mr Mac Cassey's to dinner at 6.45. Had to leave again
