My dear Moth & Father
Thank you very much for your letter of Aug 10 Mother, which arrived last Friday evening.
Beach is in the same division but a different Brigade. He is in the Jhelium?? Brigade now. We are all rather exulting because when Fisher?? came through with the Draft last month he told him that he (Beach) was clearing ???annual?? over his pay (though getting an allowance as Brigade Major) Now we all?? from ?? the Pay but that his allowance has been stopped so that he was paid last month deducted this month. Poor Beach! Jhelium?? is about 100 miles or so from Pindi??
His Brigade came up to Husain Adbul?? with us in the middle of November for Brigade and Divisional Manovoeures.
Noad?? (the Second at G.O.??) got back to day He has had a small operation in ??? work 10 days leave on top. He has taken over the running of the "C" Company at G. Course?? We seem to have got a good lot of fellows on it. The "B" Cmy? Course finished last Saturday.
So father is as good as ever at his "Short Country walks!"
