Oh I like General Kitson very much. Our C.O. & staff are just beginning to wake up to the fact that Machine Guns are important. The interest the generals up here take in us is a huge eye opener to them! I rather think "Company Duty" is buried forever now – I hope so anyway.
Took the mules up for Vet Inspection at 11/o after the General had gone. All passed. But I'm going to try to change two as unfit for Ma@??? work. I don't expect any trouble in doing it at all.
The "Terriers" gave a concert tonight at the Traffic Institute. Vincent was not there owing to a cracked elbow. They had another man called Nichols in his place. He was not quite as good. It was a good show and they had one or two absolutely new things. They did Kipling's "Boots". "Boots – Boots – Boots – Boots Marching over India"... It was quite well done.
