Got "up todate" by lunch time.

Had a strenous game of Hockey in the evening. Played Outside Left for a chance and played rather above my usual form.

Then after breakfast we have a very interesting lecture on Modern Rifles, proving to outselves that although our rifle has defects yet it is easily the best. The great advantage is in Rapid Fire. Every man in air among us trained to fire 15 shots a minute accurately and instructors and people can get up to 20-25! In the German army some crack men are specially trained as sharpshooters and manage 8-9 rounds a minute! I wonder they manage that with their rifle. Worked night.

Dined at the hotel with Bungton and Castle ??? tonight Mrs Grove was there as well. We had a very jolly
