Range Early. Finished up for the day about 3.45. Beach was feeling very energetic & volunteered to pay the Company! So I went to sleep. Woolf came over after tea & checked Registers.
I discovered that we have got an OMT in the Company. His name is Foster. He was on the Modern. I can remember now what he used to look like at school, though I did nor recognise him at all until I heard from Cady that he was an OMT. He is in The Car??? & General and therefore in No 4 Section which is not my half Company & I must say that on the whole I am a little bit glat that he is not in the R.H. Cpy.
Had a lecture at 6.0 by Major Hewett on Topography - i.e [continues at bottom of opposite page] in other words Map Reading. It was quite as elementary as the C.O's lecture on Wednesday and was all out of the Manual of M.R & FS. Mercifully it did not last more than about 3/4 hr. I do get bored with all this stuff. If they would only tell us something we don't know!
