Fri. Nov. 27 procession left the Orderly Room. Headed by - the Provost Sgt. - who amused himself by yelling "rounds" at intervals and by Miller the Chief Officer (pp the Capt.) next came the Senior Major of the Brecknocks (Thomas) then Beach (Captain of the Day), then Potts - (as M.O.) next my noble self and lastly my Orderly St. C??? another N.C.O. This tour of the ship took about 3/4 of an hour and after it I got a slack till Dinner at 12.50. the only complaints were as to the size of the meat so I told them politely it was the fault of their orderly for not complaining when it was issued them.

I got my own lunch (half an hour late) at 1.30.

Went to sleep in the afternoon at 9.0 ???. I started on my rounds to see that lights were out. I took the St. of the Police and two men as a body guard and descended to the Troop Deck. Middlesex light outs and men fairly quiet. Brecknock men were holding loud conversations chiefly apparently with men miles away from them. I stopped that more or less and got the lights put out and descended then to the lower Troop Deck. They were making rather a row there. That ceased - almost - on my request. When I came up I heard singing starting so I did a second dive and stopped that. Suspecting theire might be a revisitation of it I asked the Sgt. of the Guard to go down and see if there was any row still on. As Little was Officer of the Guard I told
