which was some experience. We could only guide ourselves by keeping our sticks up against the walls. Result y course a few bumps occasionally. These galleries are no ??? they average about 12 ft high by 9 ft broad: and then a huge balls here and there. The men who ??? the machine guns have ??? sleep in them. The officers sleep there as well. I have a luxurious officers mess which is also this ???. They have just a few shelves to hang their boots on & a table to eat from & that is about all. And they will probably have to stick their ??? the war.
We were late for mess but that didn't matter. I don't know quite when I have had such an ??? day. We have seen where it would have been impossible for us ??? see had we not been in uniforms as only people with ??? passes are allowed to go there & they are difficult to get. ??? of course they would not have been allowed to waste ??? or searchlights. Such is the value of a ??? uniform in war time.
A disquieting manner is abroad that it has been published in the hands papers that the ??? in the bay. I can't think that ??? would have allowed it to be published. I hope to God it isn't
