286 Sat July 18] Hence I went via tube to Oxford Circus, up the new moving stairway & then on by bus to Foyle's. Got a book I wanted & then went back to Ox. Circ to meet Pater & Mater. We walked to Piccadilly Cir. & caught a 59 bus to Streatham??? Hill Sta. then walked to the Johnson's Had a pleasant aft. Harvey Pinch??? has become engaged to Dorrie??? or vice versa. He is staying in London for a while so I saw him. I met him last Xmas at the Balls???. After tea we had a walk to "The Rookery???" & left after supper about 9.30. Came 287 [Sat July 18. home via bus, Westminster Brge??? Rd. Tube Sta, & Baker St Claud??? has got a P&M??? 3 1/2 1912 Motor Bike. It has a kick start & gear L38. pretty good. It is a lovely bike. Had a look at it but not a go. '
' Sun July 19. Got up just in time to go down to Grunhill S.S. Gr-??? landed with a class of Girls! However they behaved never??? excellently so all went well. Went up to the Hill for them, o Mr Joyce preached! - ! Childrens service 3.15. Had a walk over the Hill in eve.
