' Tue July 14 About finished the photog. business to.day at any rate for a while. Ted & his wife (!) came over in the eve. She is quite a decent sort. They seem to have had rather an up & down time over 283 [Tue July 14. ???. However they are settled now & getting more or less straight. They left about 9.30. '
' Wed July 15 Played tennis in the a.m as a member(hear???.) of the Magpie A.A. Through Ms Cornichshank??? Durward??? & I have been elected honorary members (price ???.) of this club which is really Marhall??? & Snellgrove's assistants'. Their ??? is ground??? is Mr???. Prestor??? Rd.??? we can play any morning or aft (except Sat aft). The courts are exciting. They have only been turfed this year & so have not had a chance.
