was the match as during the extra time we scored the winning goal & was 2-1. My nickname of "Robert" has now got to the men as ??havent?? yelled over well played Robert or something after a kick. The men found Robert too long & shortened it to "Bob". Earlier on I heard one or two yells of "Gertie" which seemed to be meant for me, though where that comes from goodness only knows. The Cup tie in the afternoon was an exciting one. On the whole I think the specials had just the better of the game, but we did not succeed in doing more than draw - despite extra time, so there has to be a replay on Saturday. Friday May 19. Being horribly energetic Bert & ??Howard?? & I kicked about from 7 - 7:30 today. Did ??lud?? fine pratically with the section today (with me ball). Had an M.G. Snal match in the aft. We had two teams picked from the section after eliminating the probably team. That left only 22 including me, so everyone had to time me which is not a bad thing! It wasn't a bad game. I played left back again. The great part is that my side was 3 - 0.
