58 Monday May 8th The B.V.C match was replayed to-day. It was a very good match again. 3 men played very well indeed for C Sainstury at1/2 annesley??? at back and Brooks in goal. Try as they would B canea?? not get past that defence though C penetrated B's twice & so contrary to most people's expect-ations relieved as winners. The specialists had a trial Match afterwards. The Probable Team seems to need only are alteration. 5 of my men were playing. Only 2 will be in the Team I think, though one of them will be a reserve. Tuesday May 9th Mail in. Just over a weak late. Wednesday May 10th Rain nearly all day. The Major's inspection took up a lot of time this morning 10/30 to 12/0. It is rather a mischance??? having to go round Institution with time. We were to have had a C.E.M.S meeting in the cos??? that as it was pouring with rain & only 3 of us Beach, Bort & turned up we postponed it. Thursday May 11 Wrote Mail in the morning. "C" played "A" tonight. Draw. It was a good match though 'c' was not ready??? up to their form of Monday.
