Wedneseday Feb. 2. No more news re Gulf yet except that we are Brigaded with 2 Furkha??? regiments & the Sixth??? & form the 39th Brigade Went out along the Peshawar Road to-day & just started work when I noticed an angry looking cloud so I promptly gave "Out of Action" & moved???. We got on alright till we were about a mile from home then we noticed that it was raining further down the road, & walked into it. it did come down too just as we got into camp it change to hail & thunder! Didn't the hail sting & didn't the Mules jump? Of course that meant longer time than ever in loosing them, but we got it done at last. The afternoon was spent cleaning Saddlery & it needed it! Thursday Feb 3 Orderly Dog to-day - at my request as it mucks up Training if I go on on a working day I asked Sauervell??? to put me on on Thursdays & Sundays. Now the Battn is together we only get it about once a fortnight. We hear tonight that the G.O.C. division is inspecting on Saturday! Cheeroh!
