KHAKI.
On the outbreak of hostilities, at 5 p.m., on the 15th of December, 1916, Khakiland forces were distributed as follows:-
The Galis brigade, after roughly handling the White forces at the crossing of the KAHAL nullah, have entrenched themselves along the line of the DOTAL KAS to its junction with the JABBI. On the right, two squadrons 3rd Skinner's Horse, with a reserve near the 14th milestone on the SARI-KALA-HARIPUR road; in the center of the PURANA GORAKHS, and on the left, the SHERE Regiment astride the HARIPUR road to the junction of the nullahs. The Headquarters and the reserve, consisting of the Sri Nath regiment and No. 1 M. B., R. G. A. are at DINGI. The 4th brigade and No. 12 C.F.A. are at SAMUN, and the remainder of the Division are concentrated near the 195th milestone on the Grand Trunk road.
