The time when we shall feel it most is when we come home. People will say "oh and what part of the line were you in?" "oh I was in India" "oh- er- India! -er - yes I see!" They will forget we didn't ask to be sent to India, that we were some of the first to volunteer for France, + that the Government thought it worth while to keep some of their best troops in India + so we were doing our bit as much as anyone!

I am sorry to hear Rowdais??? wound is more serious than they a first thought. I have written to him this week. I wonder when Pat will go over? I haven't heard from him for ages.
