Monday August 14th
Went up to P.D.?? again this morning & saw Somerwell?? about "Current Affairs". He goes on Thursday morning so I take over then.
When I got back I found Lame?? on the Short Range and we succeeded in "bulging" our other barrel. This F.C.H.?? 4/16 Ammunition is "Some" Ammunition! I should think the whole lot will be condemned.

Tuesday August 15th
On a "Regimental Tour" to day. That is another name for a "Tactical Exercise" without Troops". The General turned up and directed operations. The chief idea was an attack on and then destruction of a village.
We had one or two nasty problems.
It was 1 45 before we got back after doing 15 miles since 7 30 this morning. Still it was quite an interesting show.
