Velthe??? came along to me just after 7.0 this morning and reported that No. 8. was dead. I am very sick as I thought we had got him round. However - .
I sent up a chit to the adjutant about 9/0 and then got the few men I had spore in to building some??? mind??? troughs??? with the boxes we have made in the middle of them.
When the C.O. came round in his inspection just after 11/0. I told Suiewell??? about it - he had apparently not had my chit.
He got a boord??? to get the "ake??? dum???" Consisting of teh Mayor - Addes (RFA) and Scott. They meet at 12/0 + I of course had to be on the spot as a witness. The Major agreed that we had done all we could for him and strafed the Indian Govt. for not providing shids??? of any sort.
Played football at 3.14 for M.G. Res. V. No.6. Res. We lost 1-0. Though it was really a draw as we played with a ball that was not in the best of condition + went on playing with it until it burst 5 mins before "Time".
Had Collins Tevch??? + Wodehmseni??? to Tea. They stayed until 7/20 when I had to turn them out as Mers???
