I expect the mason that Dickeys name was not among the Oxford “Greats” you sent us that he is taking History of or Law. “Greats” one classes. So his name may appear soon. I hope he gets through. I do not think he would mind the trouble of answering.

Sherwood is younger than & am Marlene??? but he is unfortunately senior to me. He got his communion before the war & so is before me in date & they seem now to be promoting people strictly by seniority. Hence his 1st hunts star??? before mine. Mine dose not seem much nearer now than I joined. Beach, supper & Coxton & Jackson are all away from the Battalion but they would “send” them, so we cannot move up. Still there is still hope. I have got more people below me now at any rate ??? with the new “Draft officers.”
I am glad you enjoyed the Book rather this is a hit out of date now but is very true in may ways. I am rather keen to meet Mr. Clark. We certainly shall have a lot to talk about if even we do meet.
