My dear Mother + Father.
Thank you both very much for your two letters of July 6th.
I wonder exactly when the Puick??? - Joheson engagement was broken off? and it seems funny to me that Mary did not go over to Sereatham. There must be something behind it I should think. However-!
So Harry Hect??? has gone across! Everyone seems to get their "go" except us!
I was pleased to see Charlie Fleet was finded for hights +I expect so were you. It is nice to have campamms??? in adversity isn't it Mother?
I am glad you think I am " a good lad to my Mother", Mother but you know there is a good deal in having a good Mother to be good to. I have sent home another bundle of letters this week Mother + I should be glad if you will post them with the others please. You say they aren't worth keeping ! I wonder what happens to my letters! I don't need betting there's a big box chock full of them somewhere! By the way I should be glad if you will keep that Battalion Magazine. I doubt whether you will be worried with many of them - but they will be interesting when I get home.
