Friday, July 28.
On the Range this morning. Scores were not so bad to day. We did Slow + Rapid 300 + the 400. As we got hung up once or twice for mist it was nearly 1o/c before we finished.
The officers played a Scouts Team tonight + I was in goal of all places! I let one through in rather a silly way -owing to lack of experience. Just after that Hams crocked his knee + I swapped places + played Center Half till the end of the game.
We had a "Ladies Night" at Ghara Dhaka tonight. All the Ladies - except Mrs. Hewett who was in bed with a bad face - were there. It was quite a pleasant evening but I am not very fond of those sort of "shows".
Saturday July 29.
"B" Corp did not detail an officer for us for Aassificabine??? again today but I got hold of Jack Hewlett + got him to detail Cogswell. Poor old Cogwhell was rather "fed up" but had to turn out.
We finished Classification to-day. THe results are not so bad. Tuley put on 142 + is I think Company Shot! (ie best shot in D Corp). I have 7 marksman 21 1st Class. 8 2nd and one 34d. I haven't finished myself but unless I make an absolute idiot of myself I should be a 1st class with about 05??? as my seare???.
